KJA is delighted to be a finalist at the Building & Architect of the Year Awards 2026 - Medical & Health for our New 96 Bed Inpatient Ward Block at University Hospital Limerick.

Designed in partnership with O’Connell Mahon Architects, the project was delivered over a live 24-hour Emergency and Renal Department. The new ward block has since informed the adopted approach to the HSE’s Exemplar Wards design, creating a high-quality, uplifting environment for patients and staff while establishing a strong civic presence on campus.
